Want to get involved here are a few resources of places you can go to learn more about taking action and helping in your community.

Unnatural Causes Action Center gives detailed information on ways that you can educate, advocate and organize for changes in your community.  It has many different ideas for what you as an individual can do to get involved with elimintating health disparities.  It also is a resource for you to get more information on current events and hear stories of what others have done.

Comunidades Unidas is an organization that works with the hispanic community and helps bridge the culture gap to help minorities receive equal access to health care.  If you would like to volunteer or know more about the organization please follow the link.

World Health Organization if you are interested in health inequalities on a global level a good way to get involved or get more information is to visit the World Health Organizations website.  They share many of the different things that are going on in health from a global perspective and can help generate ideas of things you can do in the effort to bring health to people in all different situations around the world.

CDC’s Healthy Communities Program the CDC has many programs that address chronic diseases and health disparities.  They have many planning guides, ideas for things you can do in your community, fact sheets on what is currently going on in the community, and contact information to find different ways that you can help in your community.

NACCHO (Health Equity and Social Justice) this site works to discover why social inequalities exist and then lists ways in which the user can get involved and take action to work towards better health equity.
